study task 8 - Peer review action plan

status report and action plan for project so far

currently nearing the end of my second COP sketchbook documenting personal feeling and expression, projects is nearing a natural end and its ready to go towards the planning of the final publicaton. I need to decide wether I want text in the zine or just imagery to interpret. I also need to decide what tone the publication will have, sombre, serious, educational, abstract, beautiful? have discovered not to focus too much on the finished outcome of a drawing or to make my sketchbook look 'pretty'. I have realised the value in this work is the process in creating it and how thats theraputic for me - its not about the aesthetic but the journey.

over next 2 weeks:
experiment with printmaking?
scan in all cop pictures
write up all cop questionaires
by the time we break up for easter:
make cop zine
finish second cop sketchbook
fill in proposal for 500 word evaluation
over easter
write 500 word evaluation of practical work
make sure all study tasks are up to date
make rachels changes to cop essay and cut to word count

study task 7 - reading extended essays

Charlotte curnick

About how creativity can positively impact quality of life for the elderly

  • Academic tone of voice
  • Some quotes are too long but well developed on in following paragraph
  • Little to no waffle clear scentences and good explanation of all points and there is a clear topic focus for the dissertation as a whole
  • Writes about a sensitive subject with tact and clarity
  • Good quality of research wide range sources and lots of books as well as questionnaires and email research showing a diverse range of information and sourcing of information
  • Some writing is a little clumsy and doesn't read smoothly
  • In the main body of the essay she triangulates sources and individual points to argue the need for creative sessions for the elderly
  • Conclusion reads slightly like another triangulative point and the final paragraph does not mention creative activity in relation to ageing, overall though the dissertation is directed and fairly conscise
